Have you ever been hit by a car?

When I was in the military in Europe, I was walking down the street in front of the Munster, the tallest church steeple in Europe, and a guy ran into me with his car. He wasn't going real fast cause we were at at an intersection. I hadn't had that time learned my little bit of German, but I could tell it made HIM angry and he seemed to be cussing me out as he drove on away! Isn't that crazy?

Oh, I am so glad he is ok from it. Can you imagine a driver leaving the scene after doing something like that. How can he/she live with himself? May be having a hard time with it.
That reminds me of a time when I was about 24 and I had a clothing store in this little town where I lived and a little about 7 year old girl was crossing the street and a car hit her and through her up and she came back down and landed on the hood with both elbows. She was the sheriff's daughter. She was in bad shape for quite a while, but the driver did stop. It wasn't his fault.

I'm glad she recovered, that's terrible.
A child who lived in the house we moved out of was hit by a car, and nearby there's a family who's son was hit by a car. I don't know about the boy who lived in the house, but the neighbor boy was left mentally disabled after that.

Isn't that crazy. I guess he was made cause he missed you!
and you too are lucky that did not have major injury.
Really i am surprised why did he curse you and why did people did not intervene.

Never had a chance,thank God.But there are some instances that I was almost hit especially when crossing the streets in a hurry.My brother do hit by a motorcycle before when he was a kid.He was just walking in the street going to school when a motorcycle hit him.Thanked God that just bruises and wounds,no major injuries.

Oh, that reminds me. When I was a teenager, my brother was going to teach me how to ride his little mini moped or whatever, and we went down the street and this teenager girl in the car learning to drive with her mother ran the stop sign and caused us to go through a huge thorny rosebush and knock a mailbox down. They were so scared we would go to the police. Of course we didn't. We just wanted to have some more fun.
