hi friends.just wondering.
there are too many guys still trying till Ganguly's vacant spot for years now and i am not talking about that.
the few things that always make dada a different guy among the indian dressing room is he speaks his mind freely, sometimes too freely.
he doesn't hold back his punches like the knightriders found in season 3 when he lambasted the players infront of the press.
the thing is Gambhir is sounding more and more like dada.
first he directly critises the captain in press conferance when he said he should have finished the match in the 48th over itself and told HE WANTED TO DELAY IT.
when most people think thrice to say anything about sachin's position in the team,he keeps repeating that one player cannot change the game and things like that.
more importantly he runs the team in Dhoni's absense
interesting times ahead for team india.lol

may be by his bold attitude he may compare to ganguly but his batting style resembles dravid...

Well as a player he can be compared to Ganguly, as Dada used to do same for India ,that is holding the innings together and thrashing the spinners in middle overs. However as a leader or team man he has a long way to go and he is nowhere near Ganguly.Even in test arena ,apart from that NZ tour sometime back ,Gambhir has not shown the ability to be a great test player. In ODIs ,yes he is a utility player,he got two flat tracks and made full use of it, lets see how he does when pitches with pace and bounce in upcoming matches.

Yes it needs more brave to comment on captain's play, but gambir is correct. Even though its very difficult to match the qualities of ganguly but he can be as aggressive as dada. Gambir seems to matured as a player and a leader. May be he will took over as Test captain from dhoni very soon. Hope gambir brings some overseas win under his belt.
