He he he L.O.l.
I was thinking there are so many sayings that people call furniture like for example The couch, The sofa, The love Seat, Now who and why did they call it a love seat? Ever wonder why? O and this is kind of a different one Okay say like when you are going to bed, I ma going to "Hit the Hay" 'Hit the Sack" Out like a baby" Or sleeping like a baby" Okay now the covers? The Blankets? Now to the chairs, he he The rocker! The rocking chair, Grandpa's chair he he O and on the sofa some would call divan? Why all the names? Who made all this up?Even beyond furniture there are more like shoes, flip flops, tennies, tennie shoes, boots, and the list goes on.

They call it a love set because it could enhance what they are doing.Their hugging,
their caressing, their torrid kissing. They could be calm, they could in love yet they are ready for making love. This is why it is called as the love seat.

Yes that is right you got it man.The American people show it in their movies how special is the sofa seat in their bed room.It might be seen in their living room and it is still used for their long fashion of hugging and kissing until they ended in their bed room completing their love making. It is very sexy.

i think these are colloquial terms, a familiar style for other people from other places, usually not the formal ones used in conversations or exchange of ideas.

I think that some of the names originated from maybe the brand name of the seat. For instance, maybe a popular brand of a couch was "divan" and it just "stuck" and so even if the brand isn't "Divan" people call the couch "divan" because that is what they know. I bet also some are translated over from other countries.

Dear friend, I would like to understand why you wanted to suddenly terminate your friendship with me?
Secondly, I would like to inform you, perhaps because of some problem of the translator, not always perfect, I like this some of your threads, just do not understand them, by which I apologize in advance if I tell you.
Sin only you and I do not speak the same language!

I think that things are named according to the people that surrounds it colloquial terms are really very common and how much more if you live in a country that has almost or more than one hundred dialects like mine, so i guess colloquial terms on things or stuff are only popular when some popular dude or dudette said it and made it officially theres but researching it one by one who made it is really going to be tough, good-luck!
