Do you ever answer a question with a question ?

Yes I do ask a question in answering to a question if I don’t get or I’m not clear about that question itself because some question are ambiguous to answer it’s necessary to clarify,so we are compelled to ask another question to reply properly. Hare Krishna Garnesh

There are time where I do indeed answer a question with another question. It doesn't mean that I don't know the answer. On the contrary, I do know it but I just don't like to spoon-feed it to the other person. I mean, I usually do this to a friend. I want him or her to figure the answer for themselves. My questions usually directs them to the answer without actually telling them myself.

well yes, i have often times answered a question with a question, especially if the question for me is a bit offensive.. so in order not to answer it i would answer it back with a question. :D sort of diversion

I never really do this because it really does annoy me beyond all belief when someone does that to me. I mean, if you don't want to answer, then just say that you don't feel comfortable with answering the question. Granted, I might think that you rather are trying to hide something. However, if you answer a question with a question, then I'll know for sure that there is something that you are trying to try. There are just going to be a lot of times where there is a lot of suspicions when people answer questions with questions. Plus it just feels more frustrating when people are evasive, as opposed that they tell you that you won't in fact answer. There are just going to be a lot of times where it is extremely frustrating to say the very least.

No. I believe a question should be answered and not questioned again. I try to answer as much as I can even though I disagree with the person who started the discussion unless I want to ask some clarification on something that my seem unclear.

Hi krish, This is a good topic actually. I wanna say that you can answer a question with question if you don't listen or don't understand the question so far and not because to tease or bully. It is can be happen and try not often answer a question with question, perhaps ingratiating.
