hi friends.i actually didn't notice it at first but when a commentator said india had to the last overs in 20 minutes,i understood what he meant.
i already had an inkling that Dhoni might miss the next match and yes he will be missing the next match.
the first question people ask is why ravindra jadeja was not bowled at all.
Dhoni said because australia has many left handed batsmen.actually they have only warner, wade and hussey at top who bat left handed.
so if Dhoni didn't want jadeja to bowl his slow left arm against the left handers, was he picked only as a batsmen or was he hoping the remaining bowlers finish off the three left handed threats so jadeja can bamboozle the remaining right handed batsmen?
if i remember correctly wade got out in the 28th over with only hussey remaining, why he wasn't bowled?
afraid he would be carted around the ground by the remaining aussies?
if you are going to pick all-rounder whom you wont bowl, you could have picked a true batsmen like tiwary who has been warming the benches for too long.
i can understand why ashwin was left out though.spider-man against the rest of the countries but peter parker against australia.lol.
so no dhoni for next match, not sure sehwag is fine after back spasm so that leaves only gambhir to lead the team.
wonder who is gonna fill dhoni's spot.
last time dhoni sat out, during the test series, everybody gave a sigh of relief.now people are just sighing because he has been scoring consistently.

I think this is a deserved one for Indian captain.
Over rate was really slow and i felt that he was knowing it, and still he was not trying to speed it up by using spinners like jadeja.
And he is having a rotation policy in the team, so he would not mind if he lost one match. He will think that he has dropped him in the coming match.

Hi stardust,
It is quiet unfortunate that Dhoni does not learn even after several stringent punishments of debarring him from playing a match due to slow over rate. I.C.C. had thought of this punishment when they found out that charging the player with monetary punishments bore no fruits. They may have to look for some other innovative ways of making the captain stick to the stipulated over rate. Let us wait and see what is their next action going to be. About the replacement for Dhoni, I feel if Sehwag could not be available due to injury, Gambhir who has captained India before will be given the responsibility of leading the side in next match which is going to be against Sri Lanka in Brisbane.

Hi Star,
What feels to me is there is no spirit left in cricket at all. I think even the players like Dhoni, Shehwag and the seniors are inwardly fad up but are there because this is their profession. Out of the field is out of money. But who cares about money now?
Even they do not do any job two generations of some of the players can survive on the earning of their grand or great grand fathers.
Well Jadeja is always an allergy for me. Save one or two he has not played heroic cricket but sitting Tiwari on the bench why he is in the field is a big question mark. i know Dhoni does partiality in selecting the last playing 11. If this trend continues the recent glory of India Cricket would surely get fuzzy and still more.

Whether he plays or not India is going nowhere. These cricketers are in no mood to play for the country anymore. One gentleman is busy from the past 35 matches looking to get his 100 century. The whole country thinks his century is more important than teams performance.

Yes, of course india will miss dhoni in next match against srilanka. as indian team looks inconsistent it's really fill up the shoes of dhoni as a captain and also as a wicket keeper.
In jadeja's case, dhoni may changed his intention at the last moment..
