Advantages of Self hosted Blog.

I'm just compiling the benefits of a self-hosted blog. From my experience, a blog that is self-hosted improves traffic by deriving a unique identity from its domain name. It enhances user interaction and a number of plugins can be installed. What are the other areas you find that makes a self-hosted blog distinct?

I am currently using blogger but I definitely agree with you and I plan to host my blog very soon. I get traffic but not so much as I would like to have.

Wow, I thought personal hosted blogs were more secure than hosted blogs since you are in full control.

You will never get the message "Your blog has been deleted because it violates our Terms and Agreements" :p And yeah, it means a total control! More personal, of course.. And also, more professional, if you are using it as a part of your business..
