If you are thinking about buying a new or used car, pick up the April issue of Consumer Reports Magazine in stores now. (usually by the registers at WalMart) Every April they have the Annual Auto Issue. It gives their pcoming new models, Top Picks, Best & Worse, Safety and reliability history and a break down of Best & Worse used cars by price. It also rates Tires in this issue. I have been buying the Annual Auto issue every years since 1976! A MUST HAVE BEFORE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO THE DEALER!

thank you for this information. it is very important to get information before buying anything. any information that will help enlighten the potential buyers that they know what they are buying is a great help in the decision-making.

My eldest sister told me about Consumer Reports Magazine back in 1976 when she helped me buy my first car. I have referred to Consumer Reports Magazine for all of my electronic, computer, appliance and other larger purchases (except when I bought my house, Consumer's Union didn't test that. lol! The only other time I didn't refer to Consumer Reports was when my wife HAD TO HAVE a PURPLE Chrysler SeBring Convertible. Big mistake, Consumer Reports advised of the Sebrings unreliability and I paid dearly when I had to junk the car less than a year later.) Now I have been even an more loyal Consumer Reports user for 36 years!

Yes, buying a Car is a Big deal, especially when buying one New. I think most of the time people just buy something never stopping to do their homework first comparing it to others, and seeing if it is recommended as a Safe car, reliable, good on gas mileage, etc. We did that when buying our Prius last yr. and we knew Toyota had an awesome reputation with these.
