This rare four headed palm, the only one of its kind known in the world. Its dedicated to the people of Panama City, Florida. It was relocated from the City's water treatment facility on May 3, 1997. This was made possible by the City and Dept of Panama City, Florida.
It sits in the same park where the 250 year old oak tree I had on a previous discussion is also paid tribute to.
Has anyone ever seen a tree like this? I can only imagine what it took to bring up the roots to transplant and then many prayers had to be given to have the tree survive the moving.
Its amazing what little things that are taken for granted that you can actually learn history from.
If anyone anywhere has ever seen another one I would love to know/

What a beautiful tree! I've never seen anything like it. God sure knows how to create beauty, doesn't He? Thanks for sharing this wonder of our Creator with us; He certainly knows how to "paint a picture".

Sure looks different from the tall palm tree you normally see.

I do love all the tall and stately palms.
But this one is exceptionally exquisite.

I have never seen anything like it! Your park has a lot of different trees and animals, it would be nice to be able to be able to go there and just take in nature. Like you said the little things are sometimes taken for granted, but someone from aother area may not.

Its funny people say they move to Florida for the ocean and beach. Then after you are here for awhile you get over it LOL
I always spend my time looking for something to learn.
Hated history when I had to learn it. Now I seem to drink it in wanting to learn more.
So whenever I see something like this I love to share.
Amazing though that its supposedly the only one of its kind.

Looks like an alien...
I wonder if someone long ago grafted the other limbs onto it.
