ok so the bottom 3 ended up as Elise (DUH she lives there), Holly (i guess i can see this because she hasnt been doing so great but she NAILED it last night so i thought that she would have been safe this time but i guess i am wrong), and then you have Skyler (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! even all the judges thought she won round 1 i guess jimmy wasnt to impressed tho but se hasnt lost my vote lol)
she was safe so i am ok with that but i was VERY shocked to see her end up in the bottom 3. Skyler has been doing so well the past few weeks. that still leaves the 2 that i think will be the TOP 2 there which is Skyler and Phillip. if Phillip wants to make it to the top 2 tho he is going to have to step it up a little bit i think because he started off really well and now it seems as tho he may be holding back a little.
NOW TO MY FAVORITE PART!!! i finally agree with america. she has a lot of talent but i feel like it was her time to go a few weeks ago but she was there for a reason and she made it this far so there is a reason for that.
did i hear them say that someone already wanted to hire her?????
i am very glad that Hollie gets another week to try and prove her self because i felt like she earned it after the performance that she gave on that 2nd song last night :)

i think america made the right choice this time and everything worked out pretty close to how i thought it would but i am STILL upset to see taht skyler was there in the bottom 3 but may be this upcoming week she will step it up a few more notches and she will rock that stage again :)

I have nothing against her, but I wish she had gone ahead of Colton. And, I'm so glad Phillip is safe! Yeay!!! Skylar? Really?!?! Dang! She's such a powerhouse and she got the bottom 3!?
Unfortunately, the judges seem to really like Joshua, so I guess that makes him a possible top 2, too. I also like Hollie, but, she should be careful with her notes. Sometimes she gets a 'flat or a sharp'. I'm partial for Jessica (I'm a Filipino and we tend to support our fellows) but, I guess she is not as popular with the crowd having almost got the boot. This year's a tough competition.

Well, I don't feel partial to her ONE BIT. i am in full support. I think that favoritism will get joshua also into trouble though. I don't care if she's not popular with the crowd, are you kidding me? she was safe, so definitely popular in some way. hollie redeemed herself and it was a BLAST!.that almost getting eliminated two weeks ago was a WAKE UP CALL and that's not gonna SLEEP.

Partial means that I favor her because she's a fellow Filipino. I'm partial towards her. Although, in fairness to her she is a powerhouse and could really make it. Sadly, like I said, she's not popular with the American crowd.

this is the start of total Vadge of Honor massacre, The teengirls are mad after the demise of colton. All female bottom 3!
here are the things why Elise cant get votes despite of being a good singer.
1.she is the oldest contestant, the younger audience cant relate to her for that reason.
2.Old fashioned singing style- I think she should have sang more current and mainstremy songs, cos America is that shallow.
3.sexy outfits-it would have helped her if more guys watches this show.
4.Lack of sob story- she should have shared things on her life that will make her relatable.

I think Holly is next in the chopping block. Skylar and jessica might fight for the last girl slot or Josh may take their place.
I think Elise should try to go with Jazz as her genre, she is not going to sell records as a pop singer but she will have chance with Jazz, its a smaller market but thats where she can succeed. I think many idol finalist failed cos they were trying to be pop singers when its not their genre.
or she can start a youtube channel, make her fans and twitter followers watch those videos and she can earn money without the pressure of selling records.
Skylar...win or lose have a chance to succeed cos she is country.... it wont give her international success and success in non southern regions in the US but Country is a strong market....
Look at Kelly Pickler, she is a bottom 2 goddess, not the best singer of her season , she is not in the calibre of Carrie Underwood but her career remains stronger than the winner of her season.
Phillip..... he is gonna be another Lee Dewize, the girls who voted for him will abandon him after the season is over.

that is very ture if she had all those reasons that you gave then i believe she may have had a fighting chance but without it she was just unable to get the audience involved like she should. may be if she gets the record deal they are talking about then she can be her self and sing the things she is good at and then i think people will like her a lot more :)
i agree with you about all the young girls but i still wish it wasnt this way but like we have said before there is nothing we can do to change it so we have to make sure we vote each week for a fovorite. i forgot to vote with the past week but i was so busy and then i saw skyler in the bottom 3 and i was worried so no matter what i will find a way to vote for her in the upcoming weeks :)

yes if i look at all 5 of the contestants i think that Hollie is the weakest person they have up there but like i said she is getting better so if she rocks it like she did last week she may have a "small" chance for another week but i am not sure about that. BUT like i said she is the weakest so you may be right on thinking she will be on the chopping block this coming up week.
yes it is going to be a close and hard call to decide who will have that top 2 spot but even tho skyler is good there is a very very good chance that her spot will be replaced with Jessica because she has a very good voive also but i also think that Jessica is sliding back down to the bottom 3. i do not think it was her but the songs that she chose to sing last week.
I wish skyler the best of luck win or lose because she has a lot of energy and talent :) i forgot about Kelly Pickler being on the show 1 year and yes she is a good singer with a very good career. so i hope skyler can make it that far to atleast :)
very very true after the season many of the girls just give up and stop osessing over them and move on to the next new hot and sexy singer that comes out :)

Hi. Well, it's getting pretty rough. I mean with only 5 people left and 3 have to be in the bottom three, you don't have a big choice. Now one of the people we love (skylar and phillip have always been my first choices) are going to have to be in the bottom 3. It's very narrow now. I have grown to like Josh an awful lot. And as much as I love the two I mentioned, I can't help but think the final 2 will be Jessica and Josh. I really do think they are great. But I know for a fact Skylar is going to make it big in country. She's so good, I don't see how she couldn't.
Elise was offered to work with Stevie Nix when she was on the show one night critiquing their singing. She loved Elise's voice.
Anyways, time will tell.......

i didnt look at it like that but you are right. with there only being a few people left our favorites will end up there sooner or later.
i have often thought that also. i was thinking the top 2 would be skyler and phillip but i cant help but think in the back of my mind that the last 2 will be jessica and joshua. if not both of them atleast 1 of them. i guess we cant really say what the votes will say.
i agree i think win or lose skyler will make it BIG in the country indusrty.
i think it will be good for Elise. this way she can sing songs that she is GREAT at and she can just be her unique self :)

I don't know, it feels like every one is rushing Elise to go home, at first i did but i never really know why. so, i just stop thinking about her being getting rid of, but we all know that was expected. but that wasn't really on my mind recently, it was ALL about Jessica not getting home. i think it has always something to do with the votes and no rigged about that.

i guess i just feel that Elise wasnt the strongest singer and i feel that she deserved to go home before the others (specially before Colton). i had tried to stop thinking about it but it was only a matter of time i didnt see her as "the next american idol" but i think she can be great with this record company because sje will have a better chance to just be unique and to jsut be her.

So Elise went home. I am neither happy nor sad and I would have felt the same way no matter who went home. I like all the remaining contestants and think that all are talented. I think all have a very good future ahead of them. So whoever went home would have been talented and someone who I liked. I wish her the best.
I just got home from work and check with mylot to see who went home before I do other things on my computer. Thank you crazzydolphin and all other mylotters for the amazing American Idol discussions every week. I look forward to them.

I think that mylot has made it easy for us to have these weekly discussions by having an American Idol interest. I go to it every Wednesday to begin watching for a discussion. It is almost like out very own chat room.

Yeah, finally! Doing the happy dance here. I know what you mean, I wasn't going to watch anymore after what happened the last few weeks especially with Colton going home last week. But I'm glad she is finally going home, she did indeed need to be sent home much earlier. I just can't put my finger on it but she's never been a favorite of mine. I don't like her style of singing and the way she sounds, never will. However I was a PP fan in the beginning but after he started singing really bad weeks ago, I really want him to go next, but I think they judges still want to keep him in the contest for some strange reason. Maybe to keep more little tennyboppers viewers interested, I'm not sure. I'm sure no matter how PP sounds they will keep him at least until the bottom three no matter how little votes he really gets. I think the show is really horrible without Colton so I don't care who wins now, and next week I'm sure it will be Hollie going as the judges continually find every little thing wrong with her performances, wether they are good or not. She is by far a better singer than PP, too. They teenybopper girls have their hearts on him to win.

i have never really liked her and the same as you i am just unable to explain why. i am not sure what it is about her that i dont like. i will say i dont like her attitude but it has changed some.
i do not believe phillip will go home he is such a "ladies man". i really think that Hollie may go next but it truely depends on her next performance because she is getting better and if she keeps heading in that direction she may just have a fighting chance.
its sad your not watching it any more but it is even sadder that Colton went homw last week. i still can not believe that. i just still hope to see him again.

I'm a little sad to see Elise go. She's one of my favorites but all is not lost. I understand that Stevie Nicks offered to hire her so it's time for her to begin a very promising career. Good for her!

that will be a great opportunity for her and i think that she will be a lot better and i may be able to enjoy her more if she has a record deal and all that. atleast that way she can sing the kind of songs that she is good at and not try to make other songs work to the best of her ability (if that makes sence at all)
