Never Alone

"Someone to lift my chin, wipe away my tears, and promise I won't be alone. Ever."
I'm not looking for a man who could do those things to me. I want to bring back time and look into my father's eyes as he say those words to me. Yes, I was a Daddy's girl before he and mom passed away.
I know in my heart it wasn't his choice to leave us so suddenly and I know he hadn't abandoned me. He lives forever in my heart and somewhere, somehow I could still hear him say, everything will be okay.

*hugs!!*
I'm a real Daddy's girl.. but thankfully my Daddy is still with me!
I was also a Papa's girl [my mum's dad - my grandfather] and when he passed away 7 years ago I was crushed.
I miss him daily, and I feel your pain

Our parents will never get tired of loving us. When both my parents are alive, I felt that I am always secure and that no one can ever harm me. They always see to it that they tend to my needs and that we would have quality time with each other. I really miss those days. But now, eventhough they are gone, they're teachings and they actions towards me has helped me to be a good father with my child.

That is so true. Even though i only had 13 years of my life with my parents i learned so much from them. They have inculcated values in me that cannot be taken away by anybody.

That is so sweet. I'm a daddy's girl too. I really appreciate my parents especially when I had this scare a few years ago when my mom was at the hospital for quite a while. Ever since that time, I really had this wake up call to be more thankful for having my parents and still be with them. I'd really like to see them get old and be the one to take care of them in return. I want them to see my future family. Now, I make it a point to at least come home once a month to spend some quality time with them and cooking them something special.

Yeah you should tell them as often as you can how much you love them. And of course you should let them feel that too. You just don't know until when they will be there for you.
