One Direction should thank modern technology for their sudden fame. They became famous in the UK because of X Factor and that credit goes to them. But their fame is becoming worldwide now thanks to their fans, the Internet and social sites. Their trending in twitter and their followers are more than 3 million worldwide. Their fans upload live videos, fan videos of their funniest moments and facts about them. They became famous even before they set foot in the US, North America, Asia and other parts of Europe. Their tour concert tickets were sold out in a day (US tour I think, pls correct me if I'm wrong). It's really amazing, I just hope that the advocacy pages that we have online can receive as much attention. It would really be a better world if everyone can connect and cooperate with as much effort that we give these boy bands as participating to social advocacies and help bring about change.

Hi asteradido, I actually didn't know One Direction straightaway. I came across the unplugged version of the "you're beautiful" song from Boyce Avenue on youtube and that's when I researched on the song more and came to know about One Direction. yes, social media has got a lot to do with their fame. But I am thankful to that because they are good in their first album. What they do next is something to be watched out for.

I think all are interested in gathering fame , some do this by their work and other do this by their thoughts and many other things . Now this is a computer era and many try to be a famous via social sites , there are many examples of this . Many companies also trying this way . What you say ?
