Will You Appreciate The Picture Of 'God' On Beer Can As It's Trade Mark?

Every body would agree that God is one! We may call him with different names as per the religions we follow. Like we have many languages to express the human feelings, we do have different religions in this World to reach the Almighty or the God!
Though the languages can change but then the feelings and expressions of Human Beings can't change! Similarly the religions may be different but we all want to reach the Almighty who is one!
I wonder how some commercial companies are using the pictures of God as their brand mark to sell their product! That too product like Beer? In United states Portland based Burnside Brewing Company used Goddess 'Kali-Ma' as their brand mark for their black beer!
They have named the Beer Kali- Ma and they have printed the picture of the goddess on the Can which was to be launched in the US market!
Goddess Kali is highly revered in Hindu religion and it was strongly opposed by the Hindus living in America for using Goddess in selling Beer for mercantile greed!
Thanks to the Company who has readily accepted its fault and stopped its launch which was supposed to be launched on May 15th 2012. Now they will relaunch the Beer after changing its brand name!
Now the point is how can a responsible Company can act in such a silly manner? Don't they have any ethical or morale values ? They don't have any concern for the feelings of the people? This is not the question of 'Kali- Ma', but this is question of the representation of the God/Goddess in general!
Should God/Goddess be allowed as commercial brands on Beer and liquor bottles without taking the feelings of the devotees attached to it? This is a sensitive matter and there has to be some strict rules by the Government to prevent such things to happen in future!
What is your stand on this whole issue? Kindly respond!Your opinion in this regard is highly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi AkRao
A religious discussion is something I avoid as many a times most of the visions are orthodox and cannot be discussed.
Personally, I have no issues whatesoever with whatever and where ever they do - as long as they dont discomfort me.
I know, God never objected or agreed to His usage. He is so very giving, forgiving and much above what we make use of Him... but we dont look at those aspects.
Anyways, we humans only need to fight over petty issues like - that artiste painting some goddess someway or even some caricature of some god... We boast so much of being religious, spiritual but I fail to see any closeness towards being that way... Good for the company to take off those cans otherwise it would have been money for many others... (the media, the people or leaders who would have launched war against this) and maybe even the lives that would have been shed in the name of God.

Thanks for being appreciative of my honest response.
I personally believe, we all humans have a bigger heart and we feel the same pain when someone hits us or we bleed the same color of blood in case of any wound. The God, Politics as all man made and are deep rooted within all of us. We are more sentimental and possessive about them. However, sometimes we do get swayed by our interests or even other's interests to lodge wars in the name of Religion or even Politics. But at end, these things do not matter. What matters is the fact that we are all humans.
long back, I even objected to someone who had an avatar of a God here at a social forum. Reason was that this guy or girl (I dont know) was posting all crap and useless stuff. But then, my objection was criticized as being against freedom of expression... I understood that. It all depends on what we feel and how we handle our feelings.

Hi Dear Sids!
I fully agree with your views! We all human beings are same with similar physiology and psychology. But then being social animals we tend t live n a groups which we call as society. These groups were initially leaded by one leader who was a powerful man and to inculcate discipline in the society the leader with the help of some intelligent and intellectual people created the concept of God and religion so that the followers will follow his creation and indirectly him too.
But with the changing times, naturally some people from the society protested against the concept and created their own religion and followers, This was to happen naturally. Because of maintaining the existance of the leaders the people were used as pawns in the name of religions and God!
Unfortunately till the date this things are gong on and the people with vested interest are unnecessarily instigating the innocent people in he name of religion and God and taking advantage of the situation!
For a common man religion , caste and creed play no role at all. In day today life in our country we interact with many people of different religion with love and affection. Being a secular country we have many religions in our country and we are participating in every festivals and celebrations by every religion without any reservations!
Ultimately what I wanted to say is that basically common man is not that spirited as far as religion is concerned, it is the religious leaders and political leaders who are making them as 'Pawns' and using them for their personal benefits!
In general we all pay respect to all religions and all the Gods followed by these religions as today we are evolved and grown up mentally a lot! To day we are in modern era and not the primitive era!
Thanks fir your response and I sincerely appreciate it! Thanks !

Hi rao...
I am an atheist and dont believe god but still can say that it is not good to play with religious stuffs. Whatever it is... god, epic, thoughts, myths.... I certainly oppose it coz the emotions of a huge religious group is bonding with Kali and that is why it seems like an insult to a religious group. Although i am an atheist, i do respect all religions and followers.
have a nice time.

Dear Shibam I am a Veterinary Surgeon and working for a Equine Stud Farm. ince I am a science student I never developed any inclination towards the spiritualism. For me 2+2 = 4 only! So I strictly believe that in nature every thing has to follow the laws of nature! The thing which is thrown up has to come down because of the gravity! It is that simple!
So I never believed in the existance of God! But then I still believe that there is a supernatural power which is running this nature! If we watch carefully every thing in the nature is planned so nicely taking all details inti consideration to keep it balanced at any given time! The seasons, the ecosystem, the food chain everything is very balanced , as if some body has planned it with meticulously.
May be this power is one, whom people are referring as God! For me I will never say it so,because we are not evolved enough to understand this mysterious power and without understanding it , naming and personifying is not a wise thing!
Now you decide if I am an Atheist or not!
Yes, though I don't believe in any religion, God etc, I pay respect to every religion and the entities thy worship as their Gods as the feelings and sentiments of the people ae attached here!
So under such circumstances using the picture of Goddess Kali is definitely not in good taste as she is a revered figure in Hindu religion! I appreciate your response!
Thanks a lot for responding! Have a nice Mylotting!
