It is quite popular in my country for women to see it,of course, there are some quite people do not like it.To be honest,i would like to see the classic series rather than the cliche plot. What about you? Do you always watch it?

Korean soaps have cliche's as well, They always use love triangles, They always have the plot of 2 korean strangers meeting in a foreign country and because the setting is very foreign and romantic, they will fall in love, Then once they go home to korea the problems will happen.... The guy's parents dont like the girl because she is from a "poor family" (poor people from korea have money to travel abroad....how poor is that) The female protagonist always act cartoony, to the point she is not human, Koreans love their female protagonist to be "plane jane" you know they try to make the actress look ugly even if she is pretty so the character will be relatable, Male protagonist is always a heart rob.

Hey,my friend.I really think that you know a lot about korean soaps coz i really feel the same and interesting that our thoughts really the same.lol, but anyway, just ignore the cliche and sometimes expecting the good one. What i really do not understand is that it seems all the women there looks very same for the sake of plastic surgery.

eyelid surgery is very popular in Korea, they want to have a fold in the eyes. Most parents send their kids to have eyelid surgery the moment they were 15. Its like their equivalent of circumcisionn(intentionally mispelled so you wont get a mature content tag LOL) I think what engages you to Korean dramas are the fact that the character development is more real because there is less characters, so you can more of the characters. Our soap operas have like a cast of 60 actors... while Korean soaps have a maximum of 15 characters.
