Today I'm 23 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my second child. I had to do those glucose test today. Which if you don't know what that is. They make you fast so you can't eat or drink anything till after you get the test done. This is to assure that your blood has no sugar in it. It's a test to see if you are diabetic while pregnant which a lot of women do get and normally will go away after the birth of there child. I haven't heard back about a test which I know if I hear nothing that means I passed it. It was much easier to take this time and I didn't get sick or feel sick before and after drinking the stuff they make you drink. I did my exam first so they weighed me all. I finally broke into 100lbs this time I reached it earlier then I did with my daughter because I hadn't even got that high it'll my third trimester. In the last 5 weeks of having my daughter. The doctor seems pleased now and is leaving me alone about my weight and all. Then I did my ultrasound. My little guy he looks so cute and his little nose looks like my daughters. He isn't shy about getting his picture taken and making himself know.
Well there seems to a slight possible complication with the little guy. When looking at his legs and feet. His little feet are kind of turned inwards. The tech doesn't know if it's because of the way he is laying and doesn't really want to move out of the position he is in. So they are sending me over to the high risk doctor. Which I've seen in my last pregnancy at the end do to my daughters small size. Which might be and issue in this pregnancy too. So I got back in four weeks for normal ultrasound with my main doctor and go in two weeks to see the high risk doctor about my sons feet. Now my husband he as born pigeon toed so it might be something genetic but we can't really say for sure since he is the only boy from his mom and dad and his half brothers didn't have any issues. Hopefully we find out that its nothing too bad or nothing at all.

I'm so happy about JD. I hope his toes were just laying in weird way for the picture . Remember He hid from that very first ultrasound so JD has had a mine of his own from the start! Try to get some rest.

The first ultrasound he didn't have a brain so he could think for himself that doesn't start developing for a while so they have no brain or heart. The heart comes first normally before the brain starts coming in. The major organs develop one by one at different stages. Like right now he has every tine lungs that you can't see and they don't work. But his liver and heart does, most basic of brain active is going on like kick at things, sleeping, practice of eating food and swallowing at this point. Sucking as well but no lung control yet not till maybe my next visit.

NO he isn't hiding he much easier to look at then sugar was. She didn't want anyone seeing anything no matter what. You could never get a face shot of her and after find out her gender she really didn't want you to know she was girl. She made every scan impossible to look at anything including her lungs.

Hey, I also had a glucose test when I was at 5 months, and gladly it was clear. They only got blood sample for that test, but if I happened that results would show something alarming, I would have been advised to have the gross tasting drink you were describing.
I'm sure you'll be having another ultrasound later, right? So, you'd be able to see if there will be changes on the baby's feet. I hope its not anything serious.
I saw a news last week, of a baby born with feet turning inwards and it needed to be operated, otherwise, the baby will have problem walking when they grow up.
I really hope everything will be better on your next check ups.

Well here that is how we do the glucose test. You can't eat for a few hours drink this liquid and then wait and hour and they take your blood.
I have an ultrasound in 2 weeks that is the high risk doctor visit that I was talking about. Then I have my regular visit with and ultrasound to keep charting his growth in 4 weeks. I go pretty much every 4 weeks for doctor visit so they try to do both all at once other wise I would have to plan a visit to see the tech one day and the doctor the next they try to avoid making you come back, back to back unless you have to. I wouldn't be able to see the change babies at this stage move all of the time and I'm not and expert on what looks right and doesn't. That is why the high risk doctor is looking at them. At least they are sending me to the same one I had last time. So I know the guy he is really nice and funny.
Normally if they are turned inwards it depends on how bad it is. The extreme bad ones you have to have surgery on to correct, but if its slight they can correct that with shoes special shoes that you either ware in the day time or night time. My husband had them when he was little for his feet. Which you wouldn't know today at all from looking at him unless you ask him. Like the tech said she isn't qualified to say yes it's this or not its not. That is why she is asking for another ultrasound tech and doctor to look at them because they have better ultrasound machines that are able to see certain things a lot better then a general ultrasound tech. It could be he is just stubborn and he doesn't feel like moving yesterday for the tech and straightening out. Baby's do that some times. My daughter was pretty stubborn and the tech still jokes about her being one of her worst babies that she has to deal with.
