I have some questions about the check

I have no more experience to deal with the check, especially the international check. If I receive an international check, is it possible for me to get the money from any banks here? I wonder the bank will charge some handling fees?

In my country, yes they will charge a fee to get your check processed. I think about SGD60. What I did in my country was to call up the bank and ask. Maybe you can do that too, call and ask.

Perhaps this is the only one option.

I guess all checks either international or local needs clearing before it can be cash out or convert to cash. It can be converted to cash in any banks unless there is a specified instruction to what bank. Local checks I think needs a week before it's cleared while international checks mostly takes a month for verification processes.

Here in UK, the banks tried to get rid of cheques (Note spelling) but the people would not have it and made them keep them all the best urban
