I had a very good appetite when I was pregnant and I often felt hungry. Besides I didn't have a vomit problem, and I could almost eat whatever I liked. However, lately I heard a shocking case from my colleague. Her cousin would eat two hens everyday. I was so surprised to hear that because she really eats a lot everyday.

That's amazing! My eating habits stays the same during the first trimester, no vomiting but I extremely feel tired when the sun begins to set. I just want to lie down in bed. No morning sickness, no eating disorder, shall I say but, there is just one thing I craved for, the sour green mango. I always wanted the very sour one.

hi, maharlikah, that's unique you don't feel vomit in your first trisemester. at least you can feel much more comfort than other woman in their first pregnancy. sour mango is also my favourite during this pregnancy. it's like there's no another yummy fruit except mango so far

in the first semester of my pregnancy, I rarely eat because each time I eat I feel like want to throw it up ( vomit ) and make me feel desperate. but in the second semester, I start to eat a lot, but still in normal portion. I can eat one plate of rice and chicken, then burger and other cake, but I still feel hungry and can continue eat another. My friend said this is normal and my in my last check up, my weight is still normal. I'm not really worry about this

All pregnant women increase there eating when pregnant. It takes twice the energy need and all of it is pretty much going to the baby. I've been pregnant now twice. I'm in my second pregnancy 16 weeks out from my due date. Now some women we need more food and others need less food for there body. It really depends on the pregnancy the woman's body type. I naturally even when not pregnant have to eat a lot because I burn calories quicker then my body can process it and use it for energy and fat need. With my pregnancy I pretty much eat all day long. I snack a lot and I have three meals a day. They are huge but I normally eat till I'm full. Some times I wake up in the middle of the night starving or first thing in the morning I'm starving and I want food.

It's seems like the first semester of pregnancy is hard moment for woman, especially for first pregnancy when new mother will be experienceless. It's really important to keep health furing pregnancy, so beside eating a lot we also have to pay attention to the nutrition, right?

It is good that you had a healthy appetite whilst pregnant, and that you didn't have the vomit problem. The vomit problem can be quite irritating and, in fact, exhausting. I did not have the vomit during the pregnancy, either, and my appetite was pretty much the same as before th pregnancy and after the pregnancy.
That is incredible that yor colleague's cousin could eat two hens daily! Elwood Blues would get along well with her. Or is it Jake Blues? I can't remember which one.

Surely it wasn't that bad, pscyhoartist!
All that my girl friend could eat during her pregnancy was pancakes! And even worse, her sorry, no-good, lazy-arsed, husband wouldn't even make them for her even though she had doctor's orders to say in bed!!
Oh, welcome to myLot, psychoartist!

No- I am having bad eating habit during my pregnancies.
I don't like the smell of foods.
I can only manage to eat fruits and fresh veggie salad and I use to throw up a lot.
I have a hard time during the first trimester of pregnancy.
With my youngest , I don't have much trouble eating, but still I can't eat a lot.

YEs , usually pregnant women craves for extra food during pregnancy and have the excuse to eat more to give more weight to the baby , but it may end up bad causing diabetes and high blood pressure to the new mother which are dangerous. So carefull and listen to doctor to watch weight, some take it advantage to eat what they like now ,since they are getting fat anyhow and start to eat everything and anything.

Hi there! Just like you I also have that much craving for food when I was pregnant. On my first baby, I did not do anything to control it, so I expanded and it was a bit hard for me to regain my body shape after giving birth. So when my second baby came I had to eat but not that much. I eat just to satisfy my craving over something, especially cold foods.

I did have a very big appetite and I was way overweight. My BP increased during the last month of my pregnancy and my doctor got a bit alarmed. Good thing, there were no complications due to that during delivery.
I am now a month from giving birth, and have been watching my apetite so I don't regain the 20lbs I already lost.
