I was on another trip with my friends and on the way back they told me to get the camera out quickly. I managed to get 3 photos of a Church on a big truck. That is one thing I have never seen before. They make them and then move them to the location the buyer wants them(houses too). Look at the picture.

It is a beautiful building, but, How do you know it is a church?, is it for the type of architecture used?, it looks quite small, but, of course, it is hard to judge properly from photo. It is a funny situation indeed.

It is a church by it's basic design. Typical domed tops - like halfway between a mosque and a church. And if you ever see an orthodox priest, you will understand how similar they too are to muslim clerics visibly! It is small - too small! It's like a model.

Thanks, it seems very small indeed, to be honest, I am not familiar with neither muslim clerics or mosques, but I have seen orthodox priests, but from the russian church, I don“t know how similar or diferent they are. This building is probably for a small comunity, am I right?

We need an orthodox Greek to tell us precisely what its purpose is! Some of these are too small even for a small child to enter.

That is a pretty building. Is it a church building? How do you know it's a church building? Was the church accompanying the building?

It is an Orthodox Church. I know because Greece is full of them. The building IS the church. You can see that it is in two pieces. The one on the back goes on top. Like this one http://www.mediterranean-yachting.com/Greece/images/Crete/greek-church-02.JPG

People in the USA also tend to think that a builing is a church, instead of realizing that a building is where the church gathers. Jesus said that wherever two or more people are gathered in his name, that is the Church. Jesus did not say that certain styles of buildings define church. But I get what you're saying and it is a beautiful building. I'm sure that your land is full of beautiful styles of architecture. I would like to visit there.

I know what Church is, most people don't. I am not religious, so I laugh at all those people caring for buildings.

That is one strange and tiny looking church! It is definitely not what I imagined seeing on the back of the truck before I opened this discussion! I have read the other comments here so I now know that it is a typical Greek Orthodox Church, but I had no idea about them beforehand. I have seen plenty of pre-made building being transported here before, but none as unique as that one!

I have seen pre-made churches before but they are very small, for one person. It is a religious thing they are not functional. I have also seen pre-made houses being transfered, but I just had to take this shot!

It is interesting, that's why I took it. I don't know if I'll ever see something like that again.

Greeks seem to love these miniature churches. That one is actually quite a big example. You find them everywhere and in particular, halfway up an almost perpendicular mountain face. Why they place them in inaccessible places or indeed what is their purpose, are questions that I would like a Greek to answer, if they can!

So you hate to see people spending the money as they want ? Why do you care if they are donating their money to the church ? Try to feed people with your own money instead of being generous using other people`s money.

Stupid religious fanaticism. I hate it. Why are people stupid enough to donate money to build a church, but not smart enough to buy food for a poor family? Don't we have enough churches?

That seems pretty funny seeing it like that. But it is awesome how they are able to move entire buildings like that. I have watched this show once and they showed how they move light houses and other homes. One of them was a large house that the owners wanted moved to a different location and they had to go on the highway and there was an underpass. They managed to get it through.

So the church was a prefab. I have seen these type of buildings before. I saw a show about how they are made. They also make regular houses like that and deliver them to the site and put them together. I have also seen a show where they have this machine that builds the house right on the site. They were showing the machine build a house out of adobe. It was quite interesting.

It is a really weird photo, and the first time I see a church on a truck. You can sell these photos to a local newspaper and offer them to a press agency : I am sure you will earn some money with them. Have a nice day.
