Can We Call New Delhi An Odd City Of India ................?

Dear Friends I stay 15 kms away from New Delhi.......... But these days news emerging from Indian capital new delhi ,are very shocking ,yesterday I heard in TV about MLA fired by 3 young people ........ Delhi has become epic center of all strikes and demonstration ......... Do you thing Delhi has become odd city with all the odd things happening and nothing normal which can be seen there .......... Ganesh Delhi is not centrally located in our country. Delhi was the capital of Mughal rulers who ruled our country for a long time. Till 1911 Kolkata was the capital and thereafter only Delhi. I have stayed in Delhi for 3 years. Of course I was not fully involving myself --for obvious reasons ==language, climate etc. Now when I recollect I consider it a place where poor and old live together. One can earn more in Delhi than in other Indian cities. But present day incidents -- sorry state and am sure Government will take steps to prevent such occurrences. Incidentally what was the cause of this firing?

But present situation in Delhi seems to be the result of poor performance of Indian government ........... People of India are furiously angry with present Indian government and if Indian government tried to use power against the demonstration of people of India ,India will fall into civil war ...... Well, I believe that life in major Metro cities has become very stressful today. Everyone seems to be in a hurry to do many things and make lots of money, or gain power. In our pursuits, we sometimes take things for granted, and if for many of us, wishes remain unfulfilled, then we indulge in acts of violence or abuse. Things are perhaps a bit more worse in New Delhi because of its being a power center.

yes I totally agree with you .........,life of Indian metros is worst than life in hell in my view only rich people can cope up with the stressful life in metros ...... I believe the crime level in Indian capital delhi will soon will get to raised to a level ,in which even VIP will try to escape this city ......... Hare Krishna Ganesh

Hi there.. I am on the way to New Delhi to spend a few days there. Its been about 7 - 8 mnths since I last traveled there. And myself & my family are traveling in one of the fastest trains in India - Duronto. I am looking forward to a shore refreshing break from Kolkata. Actually, we all are.. Anyway, going back to the subject of the discussion.. Yes, New Delhi has developed into a place where crime is increasing day-by-day... I guess its the same with any metro. I hope it gets better & the New Delhi Police become more responsive & sensitive to crimes especially crimes against women... Lets hope for the best!!
