Women's cable channel Lifetime has ordered 18 episodes of a dating game show called Gay, Straight, or Taken?
The half-hour series will premiere at 8 p.m. January 8 with two back-to-back episodes.
Every episode of Gay features a single woman meeting three men: one who is in a relationship, one who is gay, and one who is single. After interacting with each man in group and one-on-one settings, the woman must determine who is the single straight guy among the three. If she chooses correctly, she wins an exotic trip for two with him. If she chooses wrong, the man she selects wins the trip with his significant other.
The series comes from the US arm of Dutch producer Endemol, the company behind Big Brother, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Deal or No Deal, and 1 vs. 100.

I had only managed to catch a few episodes. I thought the series was interesting. Of course the series started right by choosing 3 good-looking guys, but I could not really see the line to separate which was which. It was difficult to guess who was the gay, married or straight. But it was interesting enough to get us thinking - gay is not that different outside as a straight or a married guy.

i soooo love this show. and it broke my heart that he got cancled. i just hate that all the good ones always do. i wish i could like buy all my favorite shows that got cancled on a dvd. that would be so much cooler if all shows were dvds first like some movies and they all will have a ending. and thats really cool i didn't know that.
