Have You Ever Seen Lighting Strike Something???

nope...i've seen it far too many times now...but i'm glad it didn't hit anything...:)

I love watching lightning, but I've never seen it strike anything. Well, not in real life anyway. I have in dreams. Does that count? LOL

I have never witness lightning hit except from a far distance, and whos to say what it hit. Although Lightning has hit my house before. I didnt see it, because I was sleeping. I heard it, and it damaged some items. Including my DVR. From the high surge a whole was formed all the way through my box! Needless to say, we no longer have Dvr (TiVo) :(

i saw it hit the tree up the street and catch it on fire. they ended up cutting it down. i swear i felt the energy go by before it hit-too close for my comfort.

I've never seen it actually strike something but I have seen the results many times. I have seen several trees after they have been struck but the worst has to be a person. There is an area in the mountains where we have land and lightning strikes at a certain area quite often(lightning is more likely to hit the same place twice than fall in 2 different places) I saw a guy after he got hit by lightning it's not very pleasant especially the odor. The person didn't make it and I hope I never see something like that again.

I've just seen it hit a tree and the ground. I was outside with my husband in our barn and the lightning was so close, I heard the "static" sound from the voltage of the power inside the bolt. Needless to say, we didn't dare step outside until that storm was gone. I had never heard the "static" sound before, but that bolt hit and it hit close!

More times than I can count. Within every lightning storm lightning strikes or flies by within 3 feet of me and strikes something near. I am sometimes refered to at a lightning rod, and its joked about to never stand near me during a storm, because I have been struck by lightning 8 times now. And I was outdoors two of those indoors the rest.. Not sure but it appears outdoors maybe safe for me lol... just kidding. Just stay away from lights, plumbing, vents, and interconnected smoke alarms. :) .. and the windows and the wall, and keep feet off the floor curl up in tons of blankets and sleep :D .. - Dana C. L. I have watched a powerful lightning storm when we were in a boat and i seen the lightning hit the water heaps of bolts went straight down into the ocean, it looked beautiful.
