At what age you have your menstruation? Tell me your story.

From what I remembered I got my menstruation when I was 13 years old. It was the birthday of my boy cousin with my dad, my sister and my younger brother. That time I was wearing white pants. I was having fun, when all of a sudden my dad saw me with red stains on my pants. I got scared for I didnt know what to do. My mom wasnt with me. I think I remembered borrowing my dad's jacket and wrapped it on my waist. When I got home, I told my mom about it. She explained to me that its my menstruation and why I have it. She also said that I should always bring with me some sanitary napkins.

I was 12. It was no big shock for me as my mum had already explained it to me and my best friend already had hers. I got so much sympathy that day! lol.

There is the connection between the body's 28 day cycle and the cycle of the moon. In the days before electricity, women's bodies were unfluenced by the amount of moonlight we saw. Just as sunlight and moonlight affect plants and animals our hormones were tiggered by levels of moonlight. And, all women cycled together.
