Larry Johnson scored on a 1-yard dive with 3:03 left in the second quarter to help the Kansas City Chiefs take a 10-3 lead over the Denver Broncos at halftime Thursday night.

Johnson has tourchdowns in nine consecutive games, the second longest streak in Chiefs' history. Johnson, who has scored 13 touchdowns this season, rushed for 65 yards on 16 carries in the first half.

The 80-yard touchdown drive consumed 7:41 and took 13 plays. Tony Gonzalez caught a 10-yard pass on the drive to push his streak of games with at least one catch to 94. The drive also included a 15-yard run by backup running back Michael Bennett and a 14-yard reception by Samie Parker.

The drive was kept alive by a roughing-the-passer penalty on Broncos defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban. Chiefs quarterback Trent Green completed six of 10 passes for 61 yards in the first half.

The Broncos did not cross midfield until 1:30 left in the second quarter after Jake Plummer's 21-yard pass to Javon Walker at the Chiefs 47. Jason Elam kicked a 31-yard field goal with 14 seconds left in the half to make it 10-3.

Lawrence Tynes kicked a 24-yard field goal on Kansas City's first possession and the Chiefs led the Broncos 3-0 after the first quarter.

Tynes' field goal was set up after Ty Law intercepted Plummer's pass at the Broncos 46 on the third play of the game. It was Plummer's 12th interception of the season. He entered the game with an 0-5 record with nine interceptions and four touchdowns at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Broncos beat the Chiefs 9-6 in overtime in Denver in the second game of the season.

It was the first Thanksgiving night game televised live on the NFL Network and inaugurated a new tradition with a Thanksgiving tripleheader.
