I believe that Abraham Lincoln was the best president. Why? first because he was a Republican (which contrary to popular belief was and is THE PARTY that actually fought for civil rights!)who wanted ALL AMERICANS to have the right to be free. He actually honored the spirit and letter of the words written in the constitution, and he stood up for what was right and didn't back down to anybody!A close second would be President George W.Bush.
Sincerely in Christ,
Leesa C.

I would have also said Lincoln, but I guess that's because he's my favorite. But, is anyone really the "best"? I mean, every single one of them had problems in their lifetimes. Most were hated by a lot of different people and all had problems keeping up their popularity. Even Lincoln was pretty unpopular during his lifetime because of his dealings with the civil war. But, that just goes to say that just because people don't like you or you're not popular, doesn't mean that you're not a great person.
