Sir Elton John is AWESOME! He has incredible talent. Don't you agree? / myLot

I know some people are going to come to this discussion and say just NO or YUCK or I HATE HIM. That is just how this place works. The truth is, Sir Elton John is a very talented man. He and Bernie Taupin were an incredible song writing team. I have many of the albums from the seventies part of his career. I love how there is so much variation in the styles of the songs. They don't have the same sound over and over. The words are clear and have so much meaning. It is so impressive that he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth. Does anyone know...was this as a result of his beautiful tribute song to Diana? I always liked that song, Candle In the Wind, but when he changed the words for Diana, I loved it even more.

I loved Elton johns music. I have seen him in concert several times. BUT now I will never go to see him or purchase his music again. Hs is now being critical of religione

I agree that this kind of public statement is wrong on his part. It happened with the Beatles too, but it doesn't make their music any less classic, nor does it diminish the quality of Elton John's work. Thanks for your answer.
