Hi everyone,
I've never been good at sports because I have a balance impairment and the bigger movements (motorics?) are just hard for me because as a young kid I had a disease related to pfeiffer and I slept most of the time. Because of this you don't get the experience you should have, and some things you can't learn in another stage of your life. It's really odd, but this really happens.
I got teased a lot because of this, especially in gym class. I never wanted to do any type of sports again because I was affraid to be teased.
After years I found a sport I am actually pretty good at (at least considering my condition :P) and that I also love. I allways wanted to do a a sport having to do with moving to music.
The fact that you keep repeating the same steps makes it easier for me to follow, it's harder on me to dance in a bar or something because the movements are fast and without any logical order. I don't know if I will ever advance in step aerobics, but I truely enjoy the beginners classes.
I hope to join the gym soon because I really like this and could have a lot of fun with it. It's too bad the subscription are pretty expensive :(
Anyone else know step aerobics? How do you like it?

It looks a lot easier than it is, and you are right it really is a good work out :) Thank you for your response.

I really enjoy step aerobics, too, and it's a great way to improve your cardiovascular fitness. If you find a gym membership too expensive, you could always buy a step and some workouts on DVD or VHS. There are many great home workouts available for all levels.
