Stamos joins cast for ABC Raisin pic

John Stamos John Stamos has joined the cast of ABC's A Raisin in the Sun, the TV movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's play. In Raisin, which tells the story of a family living and struggling on Chicago's South Side in the 1950s, Stamos has been cast in the role of Carl Lindner, who represents the all-white community of Claybourne Park in its efforts to buy out the black Younger family from moving in. The three-hour movie also stars Sean Combs, Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, and Sanaa Lathan, who are reprising their roles from the 2004 Broadway revival. The movie starts shooting soon in Toronto. Stamos joined ER as a regular this fall following a successful guest stint last season. He also is one of the stars of A&E Network's upcoming movie Wedding Wars, which airs December 11.
