Should oil companies have topay royalties?

With the recent find in the Gulf, Chevron and the other two companies in volved may not have to pay royalites on this oil because of mistakes made in leases signed in the late 1990's. Do you think they should be made to resign leases with this new find? The mistakes in the leases could easily cost the US government $10Billion dollarss. Or do you think that them not paying royalties should be paid out in another way - maybe by lowering the price of crude?

I have found no reponse to this post from last 2 Weeks... I have seen many user complaining their post does not get any resonse and i have found that true. So just thought if we can respond to this post and make it alive... So request all to put up their value reply. I will also come back to this query to post quality reply.
