I read news papers to keep me updated about my surrounding world.

Even with the advent of internet and online news websites, the newspaper is still my source of news and I read newspaper to know about politics, sports, business and reigional affairs. cheers

I read newspapers mainly for the knowledge of current affairs, political news, local news. I rarely read the sports and entertainment page.

All of the above, except that sports scores and info are much more up to date on the Web. Papers do a good job of longer, in depth analytical articles (which are sometimes also found on the Web).
