| The Tell-Tale Heart | | | | Has anyone read The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe lately? I just read it again for the first time in many years. I am on a "classics" thing right now. Anyway, it really struck me how one (with a conscience that is) will do something they know is wrong and then be compelled to confess. I believe that it is something that is learned at a certain developmental stage, one of those stages where one is discovering "right and wrong." There are those who believe that it is an inherant trait. But how could that be? Anyhow, please read the story, it will take you 15 mins or less and let me know you thoughts on the story and the moral thought. Thanks! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
