What would you all do if you were in my situation?

I have a very good friend of mine who has been avoiding us. She is having a nice birthday party for her son and invited all the friends 3 weeks before the party but did not mail us a card. Just two days before the party her mother in law calls and asks me if i am coming to the party so i said that we did not receive the card but she says she mailed us a card on my husband's store address but i know she is lying. I just said we have prior commitments. I know the card did not get lost in mail because she has done this to my sister in law also.
What should i do? should i go to the party to wish her son good luck or just not call her and avoid her. I am so upset that she did not dare to call me and asked her mother in law to call me.
She is just playing mind games without any reason.
What would you advice?

I think I would have called "my friend" personally and see if she meant to invite me or not... If not, then don't go! :) But then again, the party is for her son!

If she is that good of a friend, she would have called you to make sure you were coming. Maybe you should call her and ask her if something is wrong, maybe you said or did something unintentionally, and made her upset.

I called her last month just to talk and her mother in law picked up the phone she said that she is busy feeding the baby and she will call back but till today i haven't got her call.
