| What are your tips and where do you shop? I love Target, i always shop the outer ends towards the walls of the store, for clearance. I also print off target coupons. the most i have ever saved in one trip is 45.00 (not to shabby) Although i know some people can save way more...so tell me how? | | | | | |

| | Hi! I try to use coupons and take advantage of sales whenever I can. I'm no expert by any means, but I'll share some tips I've learned over the years. The best way to get the most out of your coupons is to use them with sale items. For example, the soup is on sale for 2 for $1.25, then you have a coupon for 25 cents off that you use at the same time, you save even more money. Also, be careful of dollar stores and bargain warehouses (clubs, etc) where you can buy in bulk. The prices aren't always cheaper, so you really have to be careful and keep in mind what you usually pay for products at those places. Hope that helps! :-) | | | | | | |

| | I read that you should get coupons and then wait for the item to go on sale. | | | | | | |

| | I have used coupons etc....however I am now learning the best way to save is to use the coupons and save receipts upc for rebates that may be offered at a later time. I am also figuring out that it is just plain cheaper to buy healthy stuff and make it from scratch...for me it is anyway...if you have all the staples in the house...You can always make something up if you are running low on money... Like myself today.. I have 1 lb hamburger in the freezer...a bag of frozen onions, green peppers and waterchestnuts..and some barbecue sauce...you take the burger and cook it with the green peppers, onions and waterchestnuts and then pour into around a half a cup of barbecue sauce and let simmer for around 20 minutes..... You then can take a bag of veggies...which I always have..and cook some rice and voila... cheap meal... | | | | | | |

| | Hey julze97~ As a fellow BBC member and frequenter, I'm definitely with you on the outer edges of Target. I make my rounds about once a week, unless I hear of a deal that I missed, then more often. I also do the coupon with sales thing, and buy as many as I can at a time. At places that double coupons, but will only double one, I just do two separaate purchases. So I put everything in my cart but load up on teh counter only one of each item, then put the blocker thing up there, then load up the others. None of the stores have had a problem with it and that way I get double my coupons on everything. Then if it's a super good deal, or free, I'll go the next day and do it again. I usually buy about 5-8 papers a week so I have lots of each coupon. And sometimes I buy them online. Hmmm, let's see what else, if you are shopping online, I only shop if I have discount codes and can get extra credit through ebates or mypoints or something like that. I guess I don't have any expert advice, but stocking up has helped out tremendously for us, we don't have much room but what room we do have is PACKED full! Oh and don't forget to take advantave of the drug store deals. I LOVE LOVE LOVE CVS! I've saved over $600 there this year alone! I also like Walgreens but their rebates take a few months to get back so that's kind of a pain. But still worth it for the free or almost free stuff each month. Hopefully that helped with some sort of new idea for you. And thanks for referring me to mylots, I'm having so much fun! | | | | | | |
