I think the #1 cause of a migrane is insomnia (Lack of sleep) because that is when I often get a migrane and of course stressful situations.

I use to get migranes a lot when I was younger but not as often these days. I find when I have one I prefer to lay in a dark room, and an ice pack or cold face washer over my forehead and eyes helps. I think mine were and are brought on by stress, but I think caffine is suppose to be a trigger for dome people although not in my case. I find drinking more water helps on days when I feel one coming on. There are also medications available for people that can be taken when the first signs you are getting one, like some people feel dizzy or see flashing lights so they get forewarning that a migrane is on the way. If they take certian medication when they first get these signs it is suppose to lessen the chance of it turning into a full blown migrane.

i do have migranes and it really sucks! well the signs before it becomes full blown if blurring of vision, after probably 20 mins it gets really really painful. all i do is sleep, after 2 hours, as if nothing happens. there are medicines for it, pain killers, but i dont take any, i just sleep wherever i can :)

reasons: could be stress, emotional problems, allergies. usually you should avoid chocolate, cheese, milk. immediate measures well go to the dr, there are even specialists in this area, but for now, take a painkiller.

I get Migrain when i am in too much tension/stress, when i do not eat/what i ate does not suit me and when i have not had proper sleep. So i try to avoid the above situations. I have been practicing yoga for some time now and have not got migraine for a long time.
