I believe they work and are far supierior to most traditional "medical" treatments. I have had Reiki done and it was very relaxing. Funny...I was just reading about acupressure yesterday. I think one has to be open to the idea of some of these things to allow them to work though. It is possible to block things like Reiki from working.

I don't really like the word alternative because it seems like these therapies replace traditional medicine. They are meant to complement traditional medicine and work alongside to assist healing. I am a reiki practitioner......and I would never tell someone to ignore medicine just because they're having reiki done. A combination of the two only helps to speed up the healing.
So my friend - do not 'dump' medicine!!!! But as the earlier post says, open up your mind to complementary therapies.
