I have a son that is eight months old, and I have been married for three years. I am already going crazy as it is. Couldn't even imagine what it would be like without my husband. Just those few seconds with no screaming, crying, and getting baby food thrown at me. I mean, I don't even remember what my perfume smells like anymore because I constantly smell like spit up no matter what I do. Single mothers are so strong, and completely have my respect!! KUDOS to you! By the way, I'm not complaining, I love my son more then anything. I'm just making a point. Tell me what you think.

For me, women have the right to stay as single moms or have husbands. If a woman can support herself and her kid then theres no problem with it. Theres more problem, i think, if a woman forces herslef to stay with an abusive man. That surely will affect the life of the kid.

You have a right to say and think anything you want. I was a single mom for a good few years. It was very hard.

i was a single mom for 6 yrs before i remarried and it is not an easy task, especially when my son started to enter adolescence. of course he's my life, and my focus is on him, making motherhood (and fatherhood?) a real 24/7 job. to be a single mom needs a lot of love, patience, courage, and strength. i read your other post about divorce, and if it pushes thru, you'll be in this situation. i hope you'll not have problems abt getting child support. i wish you strength and courage, mfrancq, and a good support-system to help you and your son.

Yes, i think its the way they adapt to the situation and try to be dependent on themseleves and thats the great quality of such people.

I beleive that one gets a lot stressed when you are single parent.Not only at financial front but also in proper development of child.
whoever runs a famiy being single is great
