Is your Christmas tree real of fake?

This year we bought one of those fake trees with the lights already attached. I've had a real tree every year for as far back as I can remember but for some reason, this year simplicity is key for me.

We use a fake one... granted, not one with it's own lights... we have to add those.
The "ceremonial killing of a tree" is not really for me... not to mention the fire issues et al.
I know, boiling Christmas down to conveniences... :(
