How High Is Too High For Credit Card Interest?

How much is your interest? How much is too much? I had a card not long ago that started out at 9% for years then every few months it went up a little until after 4 years it was 22%. I rolled the balance to a lower card then paid that one off and now I am not using any credit cards unless it is an emergency and I am able to pay the balance off by the next month. Look at the rates on Discover and Capital One, they are unbelievable after a few years. So how high is too high for you?

WHAT ??? 22 % is outrageous girl. I'm surprised you used it in the first place.. for me, i'd say 5 % or more is simply too high ! I'm being very careful with my cards and make sure i pay all bills on time . I know it's not easy to control the urge to splurge on the card but oh well.. either i need to get a better job or better control on my cards. LOL.

I didn't use it, this was a carry over balance because I did not pay it off. I decided I would rather not pay any interest to anyone and now I pay cash for everything or I just don't get it.

I made a decision several years ago not to use credit cards. But for me anything above 9 percent is too high and even at that rate paying the minimum every month will take years to pay off.

Here I don't know any credit card that goes lower then 10%. I have 2 diffents. One a 10% and the other one who was 15 and now 16%. 15% is the highest for me. There is a lot at 19-20% and I think it,s too much.
