haha..you can try. maybe she has some body to help her with international letters? if you write something very simple, you can use a translation engine on the internet to do an automatic translation. of course it won't be exact, but i have done this and the person i wrote to understood me well enough (in nihongo)

i bet you were surprised!!! i wouldn`t say that i wrote actual `fan mail` ...more like a random note to the star....in the case of daniela sea (who i mentioned in my original topic post) i simply encouraged her writing skills, and got a note back the next day thanking me because my words of encouragement came at a time when she was down, so it picked her right up ;)

you're right... if the letter comes from a fanclub or something like that, you can't be sure the mail is coming directly from the person themself. however, the only times i have had a response from 'stars' over the net, it's always been them and not an assistant, or whomever runs their website :) in this case, i had written a little note to the star and wasn't even expecting to hear back from her. but apparently whatever i wrote touched her at a more personal level and she felt the need to write to me in private :D another way you can tell if you are really talking to the person themself is, if you communicate thru a site like myspace and all the stuff on their page is sort of personal, like diaries, journals, or home movies, you can probably be sure that they werent put there by a manager or record company. if that were the case, i imagine they would only put in "nice" or professional-looking photos and items like that.it isn't in their best interest to include bad photos taken by the star themself, like a photo of their dog or something like that lol.

in fact, this is exactly how i was able to communicate with daniela sea. she happens to have a myspace profile ;)
