husband and wife had fight a couple things were broken husband smacked wife in the back of the head not hard at all and when she was leaving he kicked at her and hit her in the bottom, again not hard at all . She is 7.5 months pregnant. She did not call the police she took their 3 yr old and left, he said ugly things to her. she stopped down the road to make a call and he pulled up beside her and she pulled off and down the road to the police dept that was closed. Had not intentions on pressing any charges just waiting for him to leave. she then pulled out and started off and an officer got behind her and pulled her over. he said he saw her sitting there and asked what the problem was. She explained that they got into a fight and she was going to the doctor because she was cramping.. (which she had been all day, not just since the fight). he started asking questions. She told him she did not want to press charges or anything she was just scared cause this was the first time anything like this had ever happened. next thing she knew a county police officer came and started again asking questions and then he made a call and had husband arrested. wife asked them not to do that and they said it was in the states hands and it was his decision to make the arrest. husband spend all night in jail and was charged with aggrevated assault. That is a harsh charge for something that miner. now he has to have an attorney and appear in court. they released him on bond with restrictions that he can not see or communicate with his wife or child until after trial. wife is devesated and upset cause this is not what should have happened she wants them to work this out since it has never happened before in the 7 years they have been together. The police told her he would not be able to be there is the child is born before the trial if the restrictions still apply is there any way for for bond restrictions to be dropped or changed. Also, is there a chance for aggrevated assault to be dropped to a lesser charge. wife does not feel he is a threat to her or her child and wants him home
