Do you add friends at my lot?

Do you add other members at mylot to your friends list? Are there any benefits to this?

I first look their profile and see what type of person she/he is then most of times they are very very nice people so I add them :)
I now have a lot of friends at MyLot and I have learned lot of things from other members about life and different thought etc :) very good thing.
