Did you or do you take any sort of vitamin supplements whilst pregnant and breastfeeding?
I took a vitamin whilst I was pregnant (a Blacmore's Complete Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Formula) and also iron/folate tablets.
Do you think they are neccessary to ensure the optimal health of your child, or is it merely a way for vitamin companies to make extra money by targeting a succeptible market?

I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and I'm taking a prenatal vitamin - Citracal + DHA. It's by prescription and it's a bit expensive because my insurance plan doesn't cover it. I do think it's helping though because my hair is very strong and growing like crazy, and my nails too.

That's true. I took Centrum when I was pregnant and still do. It's good espacially if you're like me and don't eat as healthy.
