I'm trying to watch Jay Leno as mucha as I can because I'm going to miss him when he gives up the tonight show in 2009 to Conan (although I know Conan will do well). Who is your favorite late night show host?

This is news to me. I love watching Jay Leno. While Conan will probably do ok, it won't be the same without Jay. We are all so used to watching Jay before bed and bringing in the new year with Jay. It will definately be a change that will take some getting used to. Jay is by far my favorite late night host.

I agree with you. I will for sure miss Jay Leno when he passes the torch to Conan. How do you think Kevin Eubanks be with Conan? Do you think the chemistry between Kevin & Conan will be alright?

Johnny Carson - Photo of Johnny Carson, host of the Tonight Show
My favorite of all times was Jack Parr who was the first Tonight Show host. I also loved Steve Allen who always made me laugh. He was the most prolific of all the hosts as he could play the piano and the clarinet beautiful....you might remember him when he portrayed Benny Goodman in the movie "The Benny Goodman Story" Of the newer night shows no one can hold a candle to Johnny and his side kick Ed McMahon.

No, no, no. Tell me it ain't so. I know Jay has to retire at some point, but be replaced by Conan? Never. I liked Conan a fair bit when he first started, but he's just a little too cocky now for my taste. I also think Kevin Eubanks will go with Jay. Conan would want his own band, I'm sure. Hopefully, they will find someone more like Jay.

I didnt' know Jay Leno was leaving in a couple years. I like him, but rarely stay up to watch. I think Johnny Carson was the best ever and nobody will ever fill his shoes, just like nobody will ever really replace Jay.

Very true. It won't be the same and I can see myself not watching the Tonight Show if Jay is not on it. Hopefully he will decide to stay longer. I mean, it's not as if he's a pro athlete and his performance will be affected by his age. I think he can still do it for longer, however, if he feels he's had enough, we'll have to accept that. I try to watch him every night. I pretty much just watch his monologues and whatever he does right before the first interview.
