confused

i have few close friends, male and female..my situation is that paul,one my closest friend is somewhat very special to me, he doesn't know about that or it's just what i thought.
then i learned that one of our other friend,Mae became his girlfriend but he told her not to tell anyone about it. I found out that most of the time Paul talks a lot about me when they were together. Until such time that they broke up. My name had been dragged. They say I am one of the reasons about their break up. I learned from mae that Paul told her this "I can't handle the pressure if she (me) will be mad at me"--> i don't understand this..i didn't do anything wrong. I'm not a flirt and even pretended that Paul is just an ordinary friend to me..
is it possible that Paul just used my friend and was aware about my feelings..that's why he used my name and made it one of hid dtupid reasons to end their relationship? damn..
