It's almost that time. Time to watch "It's a Wonderful Life". I love this movie, I find the message so heart warming, but Maxim just voted it as the worst movie of all time. How could this be??

I see you posted this discussion a full year ago, but I think there is some relevant even now...I remember vividly in years past that It's A Wonderful Life was shown several times during the Christmas season, and I would watch it each and every time as I loved it. Now, unless of course you have a VHS tape or DVD of it, and can watch as many times, it's now usually only shown once...what a bummer! And unfortunately too, since I no longer have cable but rely on a dinky antennae I can't even get the channel that it usually is shown on..drat! I don't know why Maxim voted it as the worse movie but that vote is sure wrong!

I guess that some people have the morals of a tomcat and can't appreciate anything that's good and wholesome. Then, I know of some good, wholesome people who don't like this movie. Most of them are younger, though, and probably turned off by its being old and in black-and-white. Anyway, I really like it. I'm not familiar with Maxim, but it sounds to me as if this is a magazine (or whatever it is) that would like to wipe memories clean of wholesomeness in movies.

It IS the most heartwarming movie ever! I have seen it over and over and over again and still feel the same way I did when I saw it for the very first time. I don't go by how others judge a movie..if I did I would never get to see much. I am a romantic though and believe in angels, so I could be judged too. LOLOL

Since I hate this movie, I'm agreeing with their rating. I think it's a sad, depressing movie that doesn't really mean anything about the season. It's also cheesy. Just doesn't mean anything to me.

It's sad, I don't think I've actually ever seen this movie. I could care less what Maxim rated it. I just haven't ever seen the movie. And of course seeing what time era it came from, I highly doubt I'd enjoy it. I'm not fond of that kind of sappy movie that is as cliche as a cliche itself.

Hi! Consider the source! I'm sure wholesome movies aren't a priority at the Maxim offices!

"It's a Wonderful Life" is probably one of the most delightful movies ever made. It's charm has touched millions of people for over 50 years. Maxim is a so-so magazine that appeals to those with a certaion smarmy mindset.
