Music to tap dance to

I am just completing a 2 year acting course and for my end of year performance I want to perform a song and tap dance. I used to tap dance for 12 years. I want to re write lyrics to a song that incorporates what has gone on in the class over the 2 year period. I was going to rewrite the lyrics to new york new york, but I want something a bit more modern and not so clich'ed. It is essentially about saying goodbye so would a song that could be about that or have similarites but it does'nt really matter as long as I can Tap dance to it. Was going to re write lyrics to Supertramps goodbye Stranger but have realized it's pretty impossilbe to dance to. If any one could help me out this would be much appreiciated..
