Why have brands like this developed such a good reputation in the clothing industry. Is it because they have high quality, stylish products that they charge a fortune for their goods, or does charging excessive prices for pieces make people think that the clothing is of a high quality and is fashionable?
I suppose its like the old chicken and the egg question. Which came first? The price or the reputation?

I think the reputation did and that's how they got expensive.

The reputation came first and then the outragous prices.
