Need help choosing my son's 1st guitar set-up

I would like to get my son an acoustic guitar and equiptment for X-mas (trying to wean him from video games). He is 9yrs old, 4'10" tall, and usually use his left hand for fine motor skills and right for gross motor. My budget is $200-$250 for entire set-up. I would like to get the highest quality of sound, comfort of use and ease of maintance that I can.
