What would happen if an Irresistible Force met an Immovable Object?

Well, the laws of mechanics say that if a moving object hits a wall, it returns and it doubles its energy. I suppose that's what will happen to the irresistible force: it would hit the immovable object than return with twice the initial force (the initial + the reaction from the immovable object).
