In what ways have you recycled used coffee grounds?

I used to own a coffee shop / espresso bar and would have 20-30 pounds of coffee grounds each week. My coffee supplier told me that it makes a great addition to my garden. I used it in my plants at the shop, but never took any home. The plants at the shop always looked good so it must have had some effect...
