Kids Shoes Hanging from Telephone Wires/Stop Lights...

Kids Shoes Hanging from Telephone Wires/Stop Lights... Anyone ever seen 'em? I have and I have always wandered why they are there. Someone once told me that it was a symbol that child in car accident at the spot the shoes are hanging. If there isn't a reason for this or this isn't true, why would someone throw their shoes up there to begin with, right?

When I was in school... bullys would push other kids down, take their gym shoes and throw them over the line.

i guess for fun.but i certainly don't believe in the car accident theory.

I have never seen it in real life, but i have seen it in movies a lot of times! I have heard a lot of posible reasons why they should be there, but i don't really know if anyone of them is true!

I have never seen shoes hanging from a stoplight. I wouldn't know why they are there either. I have seen shoes hanging in a tree. Around the corner from were I live there is a tree that has at least fifty pairs of shoes hanging in it. I have no idea why but it looks kind of cool.
