I'm so sick today and have no health insurance to see a doctor. Remedies?

I'm terribly sick w/ the flu or something today. My health insurance has not kicked in yet to see a Dr., so I'm milking my illness at home. I'm obviously taking over the counter medicine, but do any of you guys have some great ways to feel better quick? Or are there certain medicines that work better than what I'm taking? I'm taking Advil cold and Sinus. My symptoms are bad cough, dry/sore throat, congestion and total body achiness. I need to watch my little one all day and my husband is out at work. Thanks guys:)! Anything helps.
